Snowmobiling, Off-Roading, Mountain Biking, Riverboating – Think Large & Ride McBride

One of the primary tourist attractions are our world-famous mountain snowmobiling. Lucille Mountain, Belle Mountain and the Renshaw are the three main sledding areas.

Each area has a warm up cabin maintained by the local Snowmobile Club, trail access is groomed and thus passes are required.

Other attractions include hunting and whitewater rafting. McBride also produces some of the world’s finest tonewoods,
wood used in the production of musical instruments, and is home to several luthiers.

Ancient Forest Trail

McBride is located on the edge of an Interior cedar hemlock rainforest, the world’s most inland temperate rainforest,
created by moisture-laden winds dumping rain and snow from the prevailing winds crossing the Fraser Plateau to hit the Cariboo Mountains.
The trail attracts thousands of tourist.

Mount Robson Provincial Park

British Columbia’s flagship park, it contains Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Great hikes to Kinney & Berg Lake.

The McBride Railway Station is served by the Via Rail Jasper to Prince Rupert train service (the Skeena).

The town of Jasper is 160 km east. The city of Prince George is 210 km west.
